The importance of a good leader in marketing position, isn’t in question anymore. In this article we are going to talk about some important figures in Iranian marketing business. These are the leaders who have led their teams through different obstacles and have tried to nurture their team by giving them the strongest weapon; knowledge. Paraviz Dargi

 

Currently the head of Iranian Scientific Marketing Association, Parviz Dargi used to be a salesperson. However his ambition and passion for marketing made him a tycoon in this business. Not only was he active in Iranian financial associations and syndicates for over 35 years but also, he has had positions such as CEO and a chair member for years. He is the research leader for most of international studies related to marketing in Iran and he has published many books in this field. He is a university teacher for Tehran University and Amir Kabir University of Technology among others. He is the founder of the marketing school Bazar Sazan. He is the editor of different marketing publications and websites. Last but not least Dargi writes in his website and appears on Iranian national TV to give lectures about marketing and financial success.

Shahriar Shafiee

 

One of the most active people in marketing business is Shariar Shafiee. He has written two books in English titled” Re-assessing of the Brand Personality Scale for Three Brands in Iran’s Market” and “The Kano Model and the ServQual Scale: An application to Iranian Retail Banking” and many other books about marketing in Persian. He periodically gives lectures at some of the most important marketing seminars and webinars in Iran. He is one of the juries of Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services which is an important journal in customer relation management and also a jury in different competitions about marketing. He teaches in several business schools in Iran.

Babak Behboodi

 

Behboodi is more of an international figure. He is the vice CEO of International Institute of Marketing Professionals. He is a market analyst of several European companies such as KM-FINANZ AG and B/S/H from Germany. He has been a Middle-East market consultant of Bruynzeel- Sakura and Havo from Netherlands. He has published more than 14 papers regarding marketing and logistics and he has also written the first encyclopedia of logistics in Iran.

 

As the Iranian marketing scene, both in traditional and digital businesses, is booming due to the economic and financial improvements, the businesses now have grasped the importance of a great leader in marketing position. Subsequently, the emergence of new figures in this field is expected. Thanks to the successful figures mentioned earlier, who are persistently sharing their knowledge and experiences in marketing with starters in this business, we can expect to see more prominent figures in Iranian marketing in the future.
